Okay, yes I love history resources and I love things that combine more than one subject so I can do double-duty, and if it's also really fun and interesting for the kids so much the better.
Draw and Write Through History combines history, step-by-step drawing lessons, cursive handwriting and copywork. Each drawing is broken down into steps, and each step is done in color. After each section there is a page of cursive handwriting copywork about that time period.
Whether you use the classical, Charlotte Mason, or traditional text-book method, your students will retain more of what they have learned by drawing and writing about each time period.
The books are written for ages 8 and up.
Available titles:
- Greece and Rome
- Vikings, The Middle Ages, and the Renaissance
- Pilgrims, Pirates, and Patriots
- Napoleon to Lady Liberty: The World of the 1800's
**Please note: I've read through every title in this series. The drawing instruction mixed with historical information is wonderful! Do be aware that the bibliography at the back of the book may include non-Catholic history resources that we haven't investigated.
