The Virgin bends tenderly towards her Divine Son,
while He looks back towards her lovinggly. Christ
as a child is usually depicted with the face of
an adult, not and infant, to protray that even
though He took on our human form, He was always
consciously the All-Knowing God. This modern icon
is by the hand of the Nun Cassiane from a convent
on Patmos Greece.
